Chicken Pasta Bake step-by-step

Ingredients for a Chicken Pasta Bake

Penne 10 ounces 300 grams
Chicken 10 ounces 300 grams
Tomato sauce 14 ounces 400ml
Red pesto 3 ounces 120ml
Crème fresh 3 ounces 120ml
Zucchini 1 zucchini 1 zucchini
Bell Pepper 1 bell pepper 2 bell pepper
Onion 2 onions 2 onions
Garlic 6 cloves 6 cloves
Capers 1 ounce 30 grams
Black Olives 4 ounces 120 grams
Grated cheese 5 oz 150 grams
Dried Italian Herbs 3 tablespoons 3 tablespoons
Rocket 2 ounces 60 grams
Salt & Pepper A pinch A pinch

Chicken Pasta Bake Preparation

  • Preheat the oven at 360fahrenheit / 180celcius
  • Chop the garlic as small as possible!
  • Chop the onion as small as possible!
  • Chop the Bell Pepper in any shape
  • Cut the Zucchini in pieces
  • Cut the chicken in long thin slices

Marinade preparation:

Mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 3 chopped garlic cloves and the dried Italian herbs in a bowl. Add the chicken and mix. Set aside for 15min

Chicken Pasta Bake Cooking Instructions

  1. Start boiling the water to cook the pasta.
  2. Cook the pasta al Dente. Read here how to cook pasta to perfection.
  3. Fry the onion in a pan and add the other 3 chopped garlic cloves after about 5min.
  4. You can also add the marinated chicken now! Stir-fry on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes
  5. Add the capers, black olives, zucchini and bell pepper and stir-fry a bit more so all flavors are mixed.
  6. You can add the tomato sauce, red-pesto and the crème fresh now!
  7. Cook until it boils and then turn off the heat. Add the cooked penne and stir a bit!
  8. Put all of the mixture in a casserole and top it off with the grated cheese!
  9. Cook for about 20min at 356°F or 180°C or when the grated cheese becomes brown & crunchy.
  10. Serve with rocket when ready!
