With this seafood pasta we want to show some very basic techniques you can use for any seafood pasta recipe. You are more than welcome to change, any ingredient. However, we suggest to use sustainable fish in your recipe!

Although we use frozen seafood for this recipe, it’s best of course to use fresh seafood. However the cost of this rather inexpensive seafood pasta recipe may increase.

This seafood pasta recipe is best to eat at once. The taste doesn’t get better over time as with some other recipes. For this reason we kept the portions small. Feel free to use more!

Seafood Pasta Recipe Preparation

  • Clean the leek thorough and cut in slices
  • Cut the red onion in thin slices
  • Clean and chop the fresh coriander
  • Chop the garlic as small as possible
  • Season the seafood with salt and freshly ground pepper
  • Roast the pine nuts gently in a pan without any oil or butter

Seafood Pasta Recipe Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta al Dente. Read here how to cook pasta to perfection.
  2. Fry the leek in a pan with the garlic and half of the onion
  3. Take out all the excessive moist from the pan.
  4. Add the butter to the pan and add all of the seasoned seafood
  5. Stir-fry until the seafood is cooked. This shouldn’t take that long. When the prawns are pink, you’re good to go!
  6. Add the chopped coriander to the frying pan and turn off the heat!
  7. You may add some lemon zest if you like!
  8. Drain the pasta and add the pesto. Make sure the red pesto is all around the pasta.
  9. Serve the pasta with the seafood and leek mixture on top.
  10. Sprinkle some roasted pine nuts to finish it!
